The Year of Leon Wyczółkowski

On the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the birth of Leon Wyczółkowski and the 75th
anniversary of the donation made by the artist’s wife,
the Bydgoszcz City Council announced the year 2012 as
“The Year of Leon Wyczółkowski.”
On this occasion, the municipal authorities with cooperation of institutions
and organizations operating in the field of culture and education,
joined the solemn celebrations of the Year by organization of exhibitions,
scientific sessions, lectures dedicated to the life and work of the artist
as well as a number of educational-cultural events,
including plein-air painting and drawing, festivals, and concerts.

in celebrations of the Year of Leon Wyczółkowski.
